Junior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the design and delivery of high‑quality control system software for nuclear and defence projects. You will work on PLC, SCADA and HMI solutions, ensuring timely and budget‑conscious delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Complete allocated software engineering tasks on multiple projects.
• Recommend and apply best‑practice software engineering processes.
• Collaborate as a team member on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Take ownership of assigned activities and provide technical support to business development, estimating and onsite engineering teams.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with Quality Management and HSE systems.

Required profile

• Junior‑level engineering graduate or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in control‑system software for nuclear or defence applications.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Experience or training with PLC programming.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of HMI development.
