Junior to Mid-Level DevOps Engineer (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior to Mid‑Level DevOps Engineer for a 12‑month contract based in South London. The position is hybrid, with three days on‑site and two days remote, and operates outside IR35. You will join a dynamic team focused on improving our monitoring, automation, CI/CD and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK Stack.
• Build, manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines for multiple development streams.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Ansible.
• Support and enhance AWS cloud environments, particularly Amazon ECS.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of services.

Required profile

• Junior to mid‑level experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Comfortable communicating with developers and operations staff.

Required skills

• AWS (including ECS)
• Terraform
• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
• CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell
• Ansible (beneficial)
