About the role
Prospero Teaching, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in South West England, is seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to start in September 2026. This full‑time position offers the chance to shape early learning experiences for young pupils in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that align with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, contributing to regular reports.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff and parents.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 1 (Early‑Career Teachers are welcome to apply).
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics.
- Positive, nurturing approach with high expectations for all pupils.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Proficiency in phonics instruction.
What we offer
- Placement on the Main Teacher Pay Scale (MPS) with a salary range of £32,916‑£45,352 per year.
