About the role
We are seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a friendly one‑form entry primary school in the London borough of Wandsworth. The successful candidate will take over a well‑established KS1 class at the start of the September 2026 term, initially on a temporary contract with the prospect of becoming permanent later in the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum for Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
- Collaborate weekly with a teaching partner to share best practice and refine lesson plans.
- Participate in the school’s CPD programme and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate pupil records and assess progress against the national standards.
- Support the senior leadership team and mentor new staff as required.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2) in a primary setting.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
- Willingness to engage with a federated school network and mentoring scheme.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the UK Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
