Key Stage 1 Teacher – Year 1 Class (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic educator to lead a Year 1 class in a vibrant, inclusive primary school in South Liverpool. You will take full responsibility for the class, creating a safe and engaging environment that supports high standards of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, focusing on Reading, Writing and Maths.
• Manage all aspects of teaching, from lesson planning and delivery to assessment, reporting and tracking pupil progress.
• Implement inclusive and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of every learner.
• Contribute to the school’s assessment and improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.
• Proven classroom experience within Key Stage 1 and understanding of assessment expectations.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and making a difference in the community.
• Professional, reflective practitioner with a desire for continuous growth.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and eligibility to work in the UK.
