Key Stage 2 Teacher – Full‑Time (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join a well‑established primary school in Waltham Forest for the 2026/27 academic year. The position starts in September 2026 and is offered on a one‑year fixed‑term basis with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for a KS2 class.
• Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that motivates pupils.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Assess, record and monitor pupil progress throughout the year.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching strategies and school initiatives.
• Participate in wider school activities and community events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for primary education.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and high expectations for pupil achievement.
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
• Creative approach to lesson delivery and a commitment to inclusive teaching.
• Ability to work effectively within a supportive team.
