Key Stage 2 Teacher (Year 3‑6) – Full‑time Fixed‑term

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher to deliver high‑impact lessons for Year 3 to Year 6 pupils in a forward‑thinking primary school. The role is full‑time, fixed‑term and offers immediate start, with a focus on collaborative planning and SATs preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Literacy and Numeracy.
- Use formative assessment data to identify gaps and provide targeted interventions.
- Support transitions for Year 3 entrants and Year 6 pupils moving to secondary school.
- Collaborate with the year‑group team on shared resources, moderation and CPD activities.
- Maintain professional communication with parents and carers.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and NQTs are encouraged.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 framework and assessment criteria.
- Ability to manage a class of 30+ students and create an energetic learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to safeguarding.
Required skills
- Experience with the UK National Curriculum for KS2.
- Proficiency in using formative assessment tools and data‑driven instruction.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
