Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (1-2-1) – Part/Full Time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a SEND child in a primary school setting on the Wirral. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment and help the child achieve daily academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1‑2‑1 assistance to a KS2 pupil, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Support the teacher with classroom routines, group tasks and learning resources.
• Help manage challenging behaviour by promoting positive engagement.
• Assist small groups of children when required, ensuring safety and inclusion.

Required profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent transferable experience in care.
• Proactive, supportive attitude with a genuine passion for education.
• Confidence working with children of varying abilities and needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow teacher directions.
• Flexibility to work part‑time, full‑time or term‑time as needed.
