Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, Lancaster

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Lancaster on a full‑time basis. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in Mathematics and English, helping them reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support for KS2 pupils, both individually and in small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions in Maths and English.
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and resource management.
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and promote an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school‑based experience.
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, especially Maths and English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, reliable and adaptable.
• Passion for helping children succeed.
