Kitchen Assistant – Care Home Dining Team

About the role
Join Hallmark Luxury Care Homes as a Kitchen Assistant and help deliver a high‑quality dining experience for our residents. Working 40 hours a week on a four‑day rota with occasional weekend shifts, you will support the kitchen team in a friendly, family‑run environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing and plating meals for residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
- Support stock control, receiving deliveries and storing supplies safely.
- Help set up and clear dining areas to ensure smooth service.
- Collaborate with care staff to meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
Required profile
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Adaptability to a dynamic care‑home environment.
- Approachable, confident and diplomatic when interacting with colleagues and residents.
- Eagerness to learn new kitchen procedures.
- Ability to influence and negotiate positively within the team.
- Flexibility to work occasional shifts outside normal hours.
