Kitchen Assistant – Care Home

About the role
As a Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home you will help deliver first‑class food and hospitality, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals that support their wellbeing. You will work alongside a dedicated team to create a pleasant dining experience for every resident.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to dietary requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Support the kitchen team in stock management and equipment upkeep.
- Help serve meals and interact positively with residents during dining times.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Reliable, considerate and caring attitude.
- Willingness to maintain the highest standards of food preparation.
- No formal qualifications required; experience in a commercial or care‑home kitchen is a plus.
