About the role

Join Agincare as a Bank Kitchen Assistant in a care home environment, working 40 hours per week across flexible 10‑hour shifts. You will support the chef in preparing balanced meals while adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the chef in preparing healthy meals and snacks, respecting dietary requirements and allergens.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, complying with COSHH and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Work both collaboratively and independently, managing time effectively during shifts.
• Engage with residents, providing courteous service and communication.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, caring and self‑motivated individual with empathy for residents.
• Previous experience in a catering environment is desirable but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the care sector.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge.
• COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) awareness.
• Understanding of dietary requirements and allergens.
