Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join the award‑winning restaurant team at Thornbury Castle Hotel as a Kitchen Assistant. You will work on‑site in a historic 5‑star setting, supporting chefs and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwashers to clean all crockery and chefs’ utensils.
• Maintain kitchen areas in line with Food Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Assist senior chefs with basic vegetable preparation.
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures at all times.
• Support colleagues and step in wherever needed to keep service flowing.

Required profile

• Passion for food and the hospitality industry.
• Calm, mature attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Ambitious, dedicated team player with strong communication.
• Resilient nature and willingness to take initiative when unsupervised.
