Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join Greencore’s state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing site in Woolston as a Kitchen Assistant. You will support the production of high‑quality Italian ready meals for major retailers, working within a fast‑moving, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers and process payments for food items.
• Wash and clean utensils, dishes, surfaces, microwaves and equipment continuously.
• Monitor and log fridge, freezer and food temperatures in line with health standards.
• Prepare raw ingredients, sandwiches, hot meals and snacks following hygiene protocols.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for fridges, freezers, fryers, walls and floors.
• Work in high‑temperature areas while wearing required PPE (trousers, top, shoes, hat).

Required profile

• Good level of English and basic maths.
• Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised.
• Strong communication skills and a can‑do attitude.
• Basic understanding of health & safety and food hygiene (training provided).
