Kitchen Assistant – Pub Kitchen

About the role
The Chequers, a riverside pub on the Avon, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join its busy kitchen team. You will work on‑site, supporting the preparation and service of fresh, British‑produced meals throughout the year.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment.
- Follow kitchen safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support stock management, receiving deliveries and storing supplies correctly.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
Required profile
- Passion for hospitality and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
