Kitchen Porter – Brighton

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team at The Salt Room, a modern British seafood restaurant overlooking Brighton seafront. You will play a crucial part in supporting the kitchen crew to deliver high‑quality dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating tasks.
• Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Follow and enforce Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with sustainability practices.
• Support the team during busy service periods, working efficiently under pressure.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated natural team player who thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional manner while under pressure.
• Eligibility to work full‑time in the United Kingdom.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations.
