Kitchen Supervisor – Moxy Hotel

About the role

A hands‑on, organised kitchen specialist who leads by example, ensuring consistent food preparation, hygiene and cost control for the Moxy Edinburgh hotel. The role translates forecasts, brand standards and food‑safety requirements into daily plans so the kitchen and crew deliver a reliable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support Crew Leaders in coordinating kitchen operations and allocate tasks during shifts.
• Lead food preparation, set‑up, service and close‑down for all menus, including breakfast and all‑day F&B.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring HACCP compliance and accurate Saeker records.
• Manage ordering, stock control, cost and waste, using forecasts and supplier arrangements.
• Train, coach and assess crew members on hygiene, equipment use and brand standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑production environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Recognised food hygiene qualification or willingness to obtain it promptly.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work calmly in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Operation of Merrychef ovens and other approved kitchen equipment.
• Use of Saeker compliance platform for hygiene and safety documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic food‑ordering systems.
