About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Team Member to join our Slug & Lettuce venue in Plymouth. The role supports the Head Chef with food preparation, stock taking and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and produce high‑quality dishes to specification.
• Maintain an excellent, clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Oversee deliveries and ensure stock is accurately received.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve company targets.

Required profile

• A passion for hospitality.
• A willingness to learn new skills every day.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Ability to assist the Head Chef with orders, stock taking and food hygiene.
• Experience maintaining kitchen equipment.
