Kitchen Team Member – Residential Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and caring Kitchen Team Member to join the residential care home team in Exminster. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, following high‑quality menus supplied by Apetito and ensuring dietary needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals according to Apetito menus and guidelines.
• Serve meals on time and ensure they meet residents' dietary requirements, allergies and special nutritional needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages.
• Work closely with care staff to provide a positive dining experience for residents.
• Follow all health and safety, food hygiene and infection control procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or food preparation environment.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Organised, dependable and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate and committed to supporting the wellbeing of older people.
