About the role
The Knowledge Development Lawyer will support the Government Legal Department’s Immigration Litigation team by fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, keeping lawyers up‑to‑date with legal developments, and creating practical tools and resources.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor developments in immigration law and translate them into concise updates and resources for lawyers.
- Maintain and improve knowledge repositories, including lead lawyer notes, checklists, standard documents and precedents.
- Support onboarding of new lawyers and capture insights when staff transition.
- Organise and deliver legal training sessions, both online and in‑person, including induction programmes.
- Collaborate with L&D specialists, panel law firms and internal stakeholders to design training that meets real needs and promote its availability.

What we offer
- Permanent contract.
- Salary range £55,001 – £70,000 per year.
- Location within Greater Manchester, with potential work across UK offices.
