Knowledge, Information & Engagement Officer – Navy Command

About the role

The Knowledge, Information and Engagement Officer supports Navy Command’s Submarine Directorate by managing digital communication channels, coordinating engagement activities and ensuring robust information and records management across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and refresh content on DSM Teams and DSM Hub SharePoint sites, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Run the events calendar, support Town Hall planning and coordinate logistics for engagement activities.
• Collect, analyse and report engagement metrics, pulse surveys and staff feedback to inform senior leadership.
• Develop video capture and editing to enhance multimedia communications.
• Implement and continuously improve Information Management (IM) and Records Management (RM) practices, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Support the design and administration of focus groups, peer networks and other knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, engagement or knowledge‑management within a large organisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret engagement data and produce clear summaries.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across four sites.
