About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join a well‑regarded primary school in Guildford. You will take full responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality KS1 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom atmosphere.
- Assess, record and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support each child’s development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher (QTS) or equivalent, with a passion for early years education.
- Strong commitment to high standards of teaching and pupil welfare.
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Effective lesson planning and delivery techniques.
- Classroom management strategies.
- Ability to assess and analyse pupil data.
