About the role

Reed Education is partnering with schools in Medway and Mid Kent to recruit enthusiastic Key Stage 1 (KS1) primary teachers. The role offers flexible supply, short‑term and longer‑term placements, allowing you to support early‑year learners while adapting to your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons that build strong foundational skills.
• Assess pupil progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to support each child’s development.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 1.
• Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners.
• Reliable, flexible and able to start on short notice.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
