KS1 Primary Teacher – South Ribble (Full‑time)

About the role

A welcoming, inclusive primary school in South Ribble, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated KS1 Primary Teacher. The role starts on 26 September and is full‑time on a long‑term temporary basis, focusing on phonics delivery and supporting a wide range of SEN needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Provide high‑quality phonics sessions using recognised programmes.
• Adapt learning to support pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH).
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.
• Track pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP targets.
• Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and parents/carers.
• Maintain strong behaviour management strategies across all learners.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong KS1 classroom teaching experience.
• Proven phonics teaching experience.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream setting.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

Required skills

• Read Write Inc phonics programme.
• Letters and Sounds phonics framework.
