KS1 Supply Teacher – Flexible Opportunities in Newhaven

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic KS1 (Key Stage 1) teachers who value flexibility and variety. Working through Hays Education, you will be placed in a range of schools across Newhaven and East Sussex, from small village primaries to larger academies, delivering high‑quality lessons on a supply basis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for KS1 pupils.
• Adapt quickly to new classroom environments and school cultures.
• Support pupils’ learning and development in line with current educational standards.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to ensure a smooth learning experience.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completing your Early Career Teacher (ECT) programme.
• Recent classroom experience (within the last five years).
• Strong classroom management and adaptability.
• Professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
