About the role
We are recruiting enthusiastic KS1 teachers for Year 1 and Year 2 positions across Leyland and surrounding primary schools. Roles are available for immediate start or from September, offering full‑time, temporary contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the KS1 curriculum, with a strong focus on phonics.
- Support pupils transitioning from Early Years into Key Stage 1.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet statutory requirements.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and staff.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Confidence in delivering phonics programmes.
- Willingness to work in local primary schools on a full‑time basis.
