KS1 Teacher (Year 1) – September Start

About the role
We are seeking a reliable KS1 Teacher to join a Good‑rated primary school in Wigan for a Year 1 class starting in September. The role is full‑time and temporary, initially covering September to December with the possibility of extension to the end of the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and mark lessons for a Year 1 class, adapting content to pupils’ abilities.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and the KS1 team to create a supportive learning environment.
- Conduct parents’ evenings and attend staff meetings, training days, and any additional school events.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and support the diverse needs of pupils.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Early‑career teachers (ECT/NQT) are welcome to apply.
