KS2 1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Mornings, Potters Bar

About the role

We are seeking a caring KS2 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work mornings (5 days a week) in a welcoming primary school in Potters Bar. The role starts in September 2026 (or sooner) and offers the chance to increase to full‑time from January and become permanent from April.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher and the SEND team to deliver targeted interventions.
• Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Adapt support strategies to meet the pupil’s learning and emotional needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with primary‑aged children, preferably in Key Stage 2.
• Confidence in supporting pupils with additional learning or emotional needs.
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
