KS2 Primary Teacher

About the role

This is a full‑time, one‑form‑entry primary school position in Hackney, starting September 2026 on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will be the class teacher for a KS2 group, planning and delivering the curriculum independently while receiving support from senior staff and fellow teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess the KS2 curriculum for your class.
• Provide differentiated instruction for pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and assessments.
• Collaborate with other KS2 teachers and senior leadership on school initiatives.
• Contribute to a creative, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching KS2.
• Ability to demonstrate consistently good or outstanding teaching.
• Commitment to supporting all children to succeed.
• Organised, hardworking and flexible.

Required skills

• Experience delivering the KS2 curriculum.
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting SEND and EAL learners.
