KS2 SEN Teacher – Specialist Provision in Somerset

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision across two rural sites near Taunton. You will plan and deliver inclusive lessons for pupils with complex needs, creating personalised learning routes and supporting their social and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles.
• Create and implement personalised learning plans for pupils up to KS2 level.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, offering structured guidance and encouragement.
• Prepare teaching materials and ensure the safe use of equipment and resources.
• Foster a positive, collaborative classroom environment that promotes independence.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting students with SEND and helping them reach their potential.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a SEND or similar setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – essential.
• Ability to adapt, nurture and inspire learners with diverse needs.
