KS2 SEN Teacher – Specialist School in Somerset

About the role
We are partnering with a specialist school in Somerset that needs a dedicated KS2 SEN Teacher for two rural sites near Taunton. You will work in small classes with high staff‑to‑pupil ratios, often 1:1, delivering personalised, inclusive education for children with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles for KS2 pupils.
- Create and implement personalised learning plans that support individual progress.
- Provide structured guidance, encouragement and support to each pupil.
- Prepare teaching materials and ensure safe use of equipment and resources.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND and helping them reach their potential.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a SEND or similar provision.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is essential.
- Ability to adapt, nurture and inspire learners with diverse needs.
