About the role
Academics is looking for a dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the centre of Crewe. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small‑group basis.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with ASD, ADHD and other learning difficulties.
- Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective interventions.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school experience desirable).
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic about education.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Reliable and committed to a full‑time role.
- Holder of, or willingness to obtain, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
