KS2 Teacher – Year 5 (Part‑time, temporary)

About the role
Reed Education is supporting a friendly school in East Grinstead with a KS2 Teacher role for Year 5. The position starts as soon as possible and runs until the end of the academic year, offering a part‑time schedule of four days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Register pupil attendance each day and report any issues to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Deliver the National Curriculum, aligning lessons with the School Improvement Plan.
- Prepare medium‑term and short‑term plans that follow whole‑school schemes of work.
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress and attainment.
- Communicate professionally with parents and keep senior leadership informed of developments.
- Collaborate with external agencies, attend required meetings and report outcomes.
- Maintain order and discipline on‑site and during off‑site activities in line with school policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at primary level, specifically Year 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective classroom management strategies.
