About the role
We are seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Year 5/6 class in a primary school in Blackpool. The role starts as soon as possible for the Autumn term and may be extended.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils, including those with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Help identify and address gaps in pupil understanding.
- Contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos and support network.
Required profile
- Experience or knowledge of working with KS2 pupils and managing challenging behaviour.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Ability to provide a full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week commitment.
Required skills
- Understanding of KS2 curriculum.
