KS3 Maths Teacher – Hexham

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated KS3 Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Hexham. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils, fostering confidence, numeracy and problem‑solving skills in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS3 maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and achievement.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies and uphold safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues and wider school staff to support pupil development.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong mathematics subject knowledge across Key Stage 3.
• Previous experience teaching maths in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
