Lab Technician

About the role

Matchtech is looking for a motivated Lab Technician to support the development and optimisation of e‑liquid products in both laboratory and pilot‑plant settings. You will work on formulation projects, conduct analytical testing and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality, safety and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare e‑liquid formulations to address technical challenges.
• Perform routine laboratory tests such as pH, density, viscosity, NIR, UV‑Vis and flash‑point analysis.
• Collect, review and summarise experimental and production data for decision‑making.
• Plan and manage formulation requests using structured project‑management approaches.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sensory, Analytical Science, Quality and Compliance teams.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring routine maintenance.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and quality standards, including proper PPE use.
• Support ISO‑based quality systems and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Proven laboratory experience with sample preparation and analytical testing.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Curious, problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
