Lab Technician – Optical

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Lab Technician with optical lab experience to join our Specsavers store in Keynsham. You will use computer‑controlled equipment to produce high‑quality spectacles, ensuring every pair meets our exacting standards and contributes to excellent customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble customers’ spectacle orders using modern optical machinery.
• Perform quality checks at each stage of production to guarantee accuracy and finish.
• Maintain and calibrate computer‑controlled equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the store team to meet production targets and deliver efficient service.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in an optical laboratory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work full‑time (40 hours per week) including occasional weekend days.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Operation of computer‑controlled optical equipment (e.g., edging, surfacing machines).
• Conducting precise measurements and quality inspections.
