Laboratory Analyst – 3‑Month Temporary Role

About the role

This temporary, three‑month position offers recent science graduates the chance to work in a multinational medical‑device environment. You will join a busy laboratory in Abingdon, performing routine analytical tasks while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily extractions and prepare laboratory reagents.
• Run and save SSTs, conduct basic equipment checks and maintenance.
• Maintain lab safety standards, including expiry‑date monitoring.
• Validate and service screening instruments such as heaters, fridges, freezers and pipettes.
• Complete training modules, stock checks and support new process implementation.
• Provide buddy support to trainee analysts as needed.

Required profile

• Science graduate or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of drug panels, extraction methods and laboratory health‑and‑safety considerations.
• Ability to work 37.5 hours per week on‑site.

Required skills

• Laboratory reagent preparation.
• Equipment validation (heaters, fridges, freezers, pipettes).
