About the role
This temporary, full‑time position supports four laboratories in Tarvin, Cheshire. You will gain hands‑on experience in a regulated scientific environment, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health‑and‑safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare sample packs for testing activities.
- Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Transfer and process data related to samples.
- Book and arrange microbiology samples and swabs.
- Maintain accurate records and follow strict procedures.
- Handle laboratory waste according to regulations.
- Clean and organise laboratory areas to required standards.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Required profile
- Genuine interest in laboratory, scientific, or technical environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Reliable, proactive and able to follow procedures accurately.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Must have own transport and be able to drive.
