Labour AI Specialist

About the role

Sona’s Labour AI team creates forecasting, rules and scheduling tools for hospitality and retail businesses. In this role you will work directly with customers to turn those tools into site‑specific labour models that are actually used on the floor.

Key responsibilities

• Derive labour rules from real trading data using Sona’s tooling and your operational knowledge.
• Spend time on‑site with customer teams to understand practical realities such as stock deliveries and close‑down procedures.
• Build trust with site managers so workload models are followed.
• Present impact and ROI to customer executives and general managers, securing buy‑in for operational change.
• Act as the labour‑optimisation subject‑matter expert in sales conversations.
• Manage a portfolio of live customer projects, adapting priorities as needed.

Required profile

• Operational background in hospitality, retail or a similar hourly‑workforce business.
• Confident presenting to and winning buy‑in from executives, general managers and boards.
• Comfortable with technology and quick to adopt new AI tools.
• Ability to analyse data independently and make decisions.
• Comfortable operating without a fixed playbook and excited about using AI to amplify output.
