Labourer – Fire Alarm Installation Support (Portsmouth)

About the role
We are seeking reliable labourers to join a fire alarm installation project in Portsmouth. The role involves supporting electricians on‑site, performing basic manual tasks and ensuring the smooth progress of the installation. The position starts immediately and runs for up to six months.
Key responsibilities
- Drill and prepare holes for cable and equipment mounting.
- Assist with the installation of electrical trays and related hardware.
- Provide general on‑site support to electricians throughout the project.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality for a temporary, fast‑paced project.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work under the supervision of qualified electricians.
Required skills
- Drilling and use of hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of electrical tray installation.
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £15‑£16.
- Fixed‑term contract for up to six months.
- Immediate start on a live construction site.
