Landscape Garden Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Garden Team Leader to oversee a small crew delivering high‑quality domestic and commercial landscaping projects across Hertfordshire, North London and surrounding areas. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to lead a skilled team while working on a variety of hard and soft landscaping assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of landscapers on‑site, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Plan and organise daily workloads to meet project deadlines.
• Carry out hard landscaping tasks such as paving, patios, fencing, decking and groundworks.
• Perform soft landscaping work including turfing, lawn installation, planting and site preparation.
• Read and interpret landscaping plans and specifications.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and communicate professionally with clients and project managers.
• Train and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in landscape gardening.
• Proven ability to lead or supervise a landscaping team.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Positive attitude with the ability to motivate others.

Required skills

• Hard landscaping (paving, patios, fencing, decking, groundworks).
• Soft landscaping (turfing, lawn installation, planting).
• Interpretation of landscaping plans and specifications.
