Laundry Assistant – Luxury Retirement Home

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Assistant to join a friendly luxury retirement home in Dawlish. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of residents' clothing and linen, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron and fold residents' clothing and linen.
• Handle all laundry items with care and ensure they are returned correctly.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area.
• Sort and organise laundry items appropriately.
• Support infection control procedures and care home standards.
• Report any damaged or missing items.

Required profile

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Good attention to detail.
• Friendly and respectful when working around residents' belongings.
• Willingness to learn hygiene and infection control standards.
