About the role

Mercor is seeking an experienced lawyer to support its AI research initiatives on a short‑term contract basis. This fully remote position allows you to work independently, set your own schedule, and contribute legal expertise to cutting‑edge projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create tasks and deliverables that address common legal requests.
• Diagnose and resolve real‑world legal issues that arise in AI research.
• Work autonomously, managing 15–30+ hours per week.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the legal field.
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling.
• Ability to start immediately and work remotely.
