LCL Import Operator – Freight Forwarding

About the role

As an LCL Import Operator you will be the trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring their shipments move smoothly through the import process. The role combines accurate trade management with proactive problem‑solving in a dynamic freight forwarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day running of allocated LCL import trades.
• Book shipments accurately in line with pre‑alerts and liaise directly with clients when needed.
• Monitor arrival and delivery dates, keeping clients updated throughout the journey.
• Ensure customs documentation is accurate and complete for clearance.
• Liaise with suppliers and hauliers to guarantee smooth cargo delivery.
• Invoice and cost files correctly, protecting profit margins.

Required profile

• Previous experience within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Familiarity with LCL import processes and documentation.
• Confidence liaising with clients, hauliers, and customs departments.
• Proactive, can‑do approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working as part of a close, collaborative team.
