Lead Accountant

About the role

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Lead Accountant for its European hub. You will work closely with the Director of Finance (Europe & Asia) to ensure tax compliance, support management accounting, and contribute to cross‑border financial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with European regulations.
• Prepare VAT calculations and supporting documentation for multiple offices.
• Support tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess business impact.
• Assist with Pillar 2 reporting and other tax‑related projects.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
• Provide management reporting and financial analysis as needed.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc initiatives such as new office openings.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Professional accountancy qualification preferred.
