Lead Coach – Women’s & Girls Football

About the role

As Lead Coach for Women’s & Girls football, you will expand female football development and deliver high‑impact community programmes across Sussex. You will run structured coaching sessions for both our Football Pathway and Schools programmes, ensuring safe, inclusive and engaging experiences for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 28 hours per week of practical coaching sessions for women’s and girls’ teams.
• Design and prepare detailed session plans aligned with pathway and school curricula.
• Conduct venue checks, manage facility requirements and carry out risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records, attendance and progress reports.
• Collaborate with partners, schools and community groups to promote participation.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of football development pathways for females (and males) and experience in school environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a proven collaborative approach.
• High competence in IT applications and solid business acumen, literacy and numeracy.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding best practices.
