Lead Consultant – Producibility Design Engineer

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Lead Consultant to drive producibility and design excellence for aero‑engine and turbomachinery projects in Derby/Bristol. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team through product development, production, and after‑market phases, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders across the product lifecycle to capture requirements and align delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Steer high‑level design artefacts, ensuring they meet customer expectations for quality, safety, cost, schedule and manufacturability.
• Oversee technical delivery excellence and collaboration across functions.
• Manage priorities, support governance processes and drive successful project outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience on turbomachinery components, particularly gas turbines for power or aviation.
• Experience on Rolls‑Royce projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of aero‑engine modules such as compressors, turbines, combustion, structures, casings, rotatives and airfoils.
• Proven ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and keep projects on target.
