Lead Cook – Part‑time (20 hrs)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Lead Cook to join our Wavertree Club kitchen on a flexible 20‑hour per week contract. You will oversee food preparation, maintain high standards, and support a busy team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop in‑depth knowledge of the menu, suppliers and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and record food wastage and report to the Duty Manager.
• Check food deliveries, complete administration and store items correctly.
• Ensure accurate stock rotation (FIFO) and conduct regular stock counts.
• Cook all menu items to specification and company quality standards.
• Complete ad‑hoc duties as requested and help create a safer gambling environment for customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience cooking to specification and following brand standards.
• Desirable experience with a ‘cook‑to‑order’ menu.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of relevant legal and health‑and‑safety regulations.

• Wastage monitoring and reporting
