Monzo is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to shape the future of its banking products. You will drive data strategy, empower teams with experimentation, and help create a simple, magical experience for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Monzo's data strategy to support product and business goals.
• Design, implement, and scale experimentation frameworks for data‑driven decision making.
• Set standards for data practices, promote knowledge sharing, and mentor junior data scientists.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional squads across borrowing, growth, payments, fincrime, wealth, and core.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data science initiatives in fast‑growing technology or fintech environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of turning complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and guide product direction.

Required skills

• Looker for self‑serve analytics and reporting.
